What is Saphire FUE?
Saphire FUE, made with sapphire metal inserts, means that sapphire inserts are used instead metal slit. Saphire FUE, which can be defined as an improvement in FUE method, is not a technique in itself. It is an application where opened channels are micro-sized and recovery and crusting occurs faster than classical FUE.
How to apply Saphire FUE?
Saphire FUE, as in the classical FUE process is transplanted in channels opened from hair follicles which are collected with average 0.6 - 0.7 mm micro tips. The use of sapphire tips during the opening of the microchannels makes it easier to transplant the hair follicles at a closer level with each other and increase the number of channels to be obtained.
What are the differences between Saphire FUE and Classical FUE?
- Saphire inserts minimize tissue damage due to their durable structure and minimal vibration advantage. In this way, the patient's recovery during the transplantation process is faster than the classical FUE method.
- Saphire tips are more suitable for transplanting than metal slit method used in classical FUE method. Therefore, it can be applied in advanced hair loss.
- In hair transplantation, as the hair density increases, the natural appearance also increases. Saphire inserts create a more natural look than those used in the classical FUE method.
- The risk of edema is lower than the classical FUE.
- The smoothness on the skin is less than the classic FUE.
